Save the dates! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Jefferson!
September 26 - September 30: Students will be able to shop from 8:05 am to 8:35 am and also during their library class time.
October 3-5: Students will be able to shop from 8:05-8:35 am.
The book fair will also be open for families to shop during Parent/Teacher Conferences on October 5th and 6th.
Ms. Joslyn and Ms. Velázquez enjoy when their classes can spend their recess time together.

Students in Mrs. Kruckenberg's 5th grade class used the AVID strategy called Lines of Communication to share their strategy for finding volume. In social studies they went old school and played The Oregon Trail. They are leaning about how geography and climate impacts our lives.

Mrs. Joslyn’s 4th grade class had fun playing "Close to 100" while working on adding and subtracting. Learning math and having fun, win win!
Miss Walker's class has been very busy this week! They did group research presentations about the Midwest in Social Studies with Mrs. Kruckenberg and they also collaborated about vocabulary regarding states and properties of matter.

Today, the Veterans Memorial Wall was escorted to Milky Way Park. D50 students had the opportunity to watch as the route passed by each school. Head over to Milky Way Park September 8th - 11th to view the American Veterans Traveling Tribute. #HarvardRising
Miss Garcia's classes have been reviewing how to write successful sentences in Spanish. They separated and counted the words in different sentences and wrote them down in their notebooks correctly.
