Are you ready for summer?!
This year Harvard CUSD 50 is offering many academic and enrichment-based programs. Check out www.cusd50.org/summer for more information and how to register. Don't forget to talk with your child's teacher at parent-teacher conferences tomorrow to know what programs would be an excellent fit!

Tuesday 2-22-22
Dress your best for the ultimate TWO's Day! Twins, Ties, Tiaras, and Tutus! Get creative: Twin with a friend, wear a tie, tiara, or tutu OR wear two of something - 2 hats, etc.

Although masks are strongly recommended in school buildings, masks are still required on buses per federal guidelines. Please make sure your child has a mask to get on the bus each day. If your student forgets a mask, the bus driver may have extras. Please encourage your child to use that mask for both bus rides that day.

February is Black History Month! #HarvardRising

Happy National School Counselors Week to a group of individuals who make our district and students better every single day. #HarvardRising

SAVE YOUR POP TABS! HELP OTHERS IN NEED.
This quarter Jefferson Elementary School will introduce a school-wide project to encourage kindness and giving. Students will learn first hand that small actions can make a big difference when we all work together.
Ronald McDonald House Charities provide a low-cost place for families to stay when their beloved child needs treatment at the hospital. Working in conjunction with RMH Charities, we are asking our students and families to collect pop tabs. The money from our students’ collections will be used to sponsor families staying at Ronald McDonald Houses.
Students may bring the pop tabs to school and add them to the classroom collection bin. Every two weeks, pop tabs will be collected and weighed, and our school progress will be monitored.
We hope to collect 50 lbs. of pop tabs between now and the end of April. This would provide a donation of up to $2,750.00 from Jefferson Elementary School. To keep students motivated, rewards will be earned as the school total reaches 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% of our goal!
Thank you for being part of this giving project.

Parents of students in the district, please take the 5Essentials Parent Survey here: https://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/
The 5Essentials Survey is an evidence-based system designed to drive improvement in schools nationwide. It reliably measures changes in a school organization and provides individualized, actionable reports for each school.
The 5Essentials Parent Survey supplement asks questions about the parent’s overall relationship with the school.
Your opinion matters.
