Hello Jefferson families! It's Red Ribbon Week 2022 from October 24th through October 28th. Red Ribbon Week is a nation-wide program promoting a drug-free lifestyle and community. Mrs. Wargaski was a guest teacher in Mrs. Hay's classroom. She taught everyone, including Mrs. Hay, about a compendium. A part of the lesson allowed students to show what strategies they know and use for our next unit in math! Everyone is a life-long learner at Jefferson. #HarvardRising

It's Dress for your Future/Career Day at Jefferson! We have basketball coaches, soccer players, actresses, singers, famous celebrities, artists and more! Some dressed as scholars for college! Support the Harvard Hornets by wearing Black & Gold on Friday! #HarvardRising

Coloring with Ms. Velázquez is a fun and relaxing activity that students can purchase with their bee-bucks. #HarvardRising

It's The Future is Bright/Bright Colors Day at Jefferson! The students made a rainy day outside, bright and colorful inside! It's Dress for your Future/Career Day on Thursday and Black and Gold Day on Friday! #HarvardRising

In science, Miss Buckley's students are learning about how animals use their senses to receive different types of information. The students used their sense of smell to complete a “What’s that Smell?” challenge. #HarvardRising

It's Spirit Week at Jefferson! Today was Fall Flannel day! It was also referred to as "Square Shirt Day" by one of our students! Whatever you want to call it, the kids dressed the part! Don't forget that Wednesday is Bright Colors Day! #HarvardRising

Jefferson Spirit Week October 11-14th

Kind, sweet, funny, athletic, weird, helpful. These are just a few of the amazing adjectives our students came up with to describe themselves this week. It's been a good week of reflecting on their hard work during our student led conferences. #HarvardRising

Parent/Teacher Conferences at Jefferson aren't just for parents and teachers. Our conferences are student led so they are a part of the conversation and they get the opportunity to show their parents all of their hard work. #HarvardRising

Today was the 5th Grade Fall Career Fair! 5th grade students were able to choose three different presentations to hear about and interact with. We are very grateful for the people that took time out of their day to present! #HarvardRising

5th grade is so excited to have parents coming to speak about their careers on October 4! 5th grade students will be able to choose three different presentations to hear about careers they are interested in or want to learn more about. We are very grateful to the people that are taking time out of their day to present. Students are not just learning about careers, but the path taken, the skills needed, the impact on our community, and opportunities presented. #HarvardRising
