CUSD 50 & Harvard Junior High School are proud to announce that Ben Schwartz has been named the new principal at Harvard Junior High School. Ben brings a deep commitment to student success and a passion for fostering a positive school culture.
Ben graduated from Illinois State University and attained a Master of Arts in Educational leadership from Aurora University, this is his 12th year in education, all in the middle school level, and it is his 9th year working in CUSD 50 going from a teacher and coach, to an assistant principal, now to principal.
Superintendent Dr. Corey Tafoya expressed, "The appointment of Mr. Schwartz to be the next principal at Harvard Junior High is a reassuring move for the staff, students, and parents who have watched his hard work creating opportunities and a welcoming environment during his time working with Mr. Cardamone. "
Ben expressed his enthusiasm for the opportunity, stating, "I am incredibly excited for the opportunity to serve as the principal of Harvard Junior High School. Having been part of this amazing school community for the last nine years, I’ve seen firsthand the dedication of our staff, the enthusiasm of our students, and the strong support from families. I look forward to building on the great work already in place and continuing to create an environment where every student feels valued, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential.
