Harvard CUSD 50 hosted a successful first REALTOR® Event at Harvard High School on Tuesday, February 28. Local real estate agents learned about the district’s goals, future projects, the nationally-recognized dual language program, AVID programs preparing students to be #FutureFocused, dual-credit partnership with McHenry County College, and the innovative FLEX schedule at the high school.
“It was a great experience seeing all the improvements and hearing about all the great programs that the school has implemented,” said Carlos Gonzalez, Compass. “I’m completely impressed and look forward to the future of our community.”
Attendees also received a tour of the newly renovated facilities at the high school including a state-of-the-art weight room, athletic training room, dedicated classrooms and common area, followed by a full lunch prepared and served by high school culinary students.
“This event was an opportunity to showcase the amazing programs and facility updates we have implemented in the district; not just in the presentation or on paper, but to hear directly from our students and see it in the hallways,” said Harvard CUSD 50 Superintendent, Dr. Corey Tafoya. “Everyone left energized, with a better understanding of #HarvardRising that they can share with clients and individuals interested in moving to Harvard.”
The district plans to move forward with the REALTOR® Event, hosted at a different CUSD 50 school each year.
