Students in Mrs. Garay and Ms. Mercado's class work with a "Brain Buddy" to learn about patterns in numbers. After being given an open-ended question involving skip counting by 5's, the brain buddies work together at their thinking boards to solve the problem. After partner work time, students walk around the room to share how they solved the problem with their classmates. #Collaboration #CrosBees
In Ms. Moore's class we often work on strategies to help us stay ready to learn. It is great when students advocate for one of our strategies. The strategy requested was to watch and listen to aquarium relaxing music. #CrosBees

Mrs. Ewart's class did an experiment from their reading book, "The Case of the Gasping Garbage". We dipped ink dots from five black pens in rubbing alcohol and discovered that there are several different colors in black ink. This process is called chromatography. #CrosBees

📚🎈 Mrs. Dahlke's class had a blast today with a fun experiment inspired by "The Case of the Gasping Garbage"! They used a balloon to lift up a stack of books. The kids were amazed by the power of air pressure and how a simple balloon could do such a cool trick. 🎈#CrosBees
