This afternoon, a water main feeding Washington School broke, leaving the building without a water supply. While turning off the water, some of the equipment controlling the city’s water feed to the building was damaged. This damage leaves Washington without water until the new parts can be located and installed.
There will be no school for Washington School students on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. We hope that repairs can be made quickly to restore the water supply allowing students to return on Wednesday. We will continue to update parents on the status of classes after Tuesday as we learn more. We hope that this disruption will not be longer than one day. The length of this disruption largely depends on the ability for parts to be located and installed.
