"I grew up in Benidorm, a city in the southeast of Spain known for its tourism and sunny beaches. I began formal piano lessons at the local conservatory. Those early experiences with music sparked a passion that would shape the rest of my life. I pursued piano at the Conservatorio Superior de Música in Murcia, earned a degree in Musicology from the University of La Rioja, completed a Master’s in Historical Musicology, obtained the Certificate of Pedagogical Aptitude from the University of Almería, and earned a Master’s in Bilingual Education from the International University of Valencia."

"In school, some of my teachers, recognizing that I was a responsible and dedicated student, asked if I could help younger students improve. I gladly accepted, and it was through that experience that I discovered how much I enjoyed creating meaningful, supportive connections with others. I have been teaching for over 13 years, and I’m proud to have joined CUSD 50 in August 2024."

"What I love about being an educator is the opportunity to witness growth—not only in my students, but in myself as well. What makes this journey so meaningful are those small moments that show just how deeply students are engaging. It’s rewarding to hear them singing songs from class in the hallways or using musical terms naturally in their conversations."

"Harvard has given me the opportunity to learn a new educational system—one that is different from the one I knew in Spain. Stepping into a new country, culture, and school setting pushed me far beyond my comfort zone. At Jefferson, the staff has been incredibly kind and welcoming. From the very beginning, I have felt supported, and that’s largely because everyone has helped me so much along the way."

"Empathy is a powerful tool in spreading positivity—it’s about tuning into the emotions of others, understanding their struggles, and offering support without judgment. I encourage others to never underestimate the power of music. As a music teacher, I’ve seen firsthand how music has the ability to bring joy, calm, and connection."
