CUSD 50 Staff Spotlight: Pablo Villazon del Campo, 4th Grade Dual Language Teacher

"I was born and raised in a city in northern Spain called Santander. It is a beautiful city with beaches, mountains, and plenty of outdoor activities. I attended school and university in my hometown, which always kept me close to my parents and 3 sisters, to whom I feel very connected."

"This is my third year at Harvard, and I feel very fortunate to have become part of this community. From day one, I felt supported, appreciated, and valued by both my colleagues and the families in the community."

"As a teacher, I love seeing our children grow and knowing that everything we do with them in class matters, from the smallest gestures to the subjects we strive to teach them each day. I feel that they teach us just as much as I teach them. I consider myself lucky because coming to work doesn’t feel like an effort, I truly enjoy it every day!"

"I feel fortunate to be part of Jefferson, a small school where we feel like one big family, always looking out for each other’s well-being. It’s great to feel so supported, especially in the cold Illinois winters!"

"I always smile and try to stay happy, hoping to spread that energy to those around me. Paying attention to the little things and finding the positive side of every situation helps me stay joyful. I surround myself with people who bring positivity into my life and make the most of each new day."
