Harvard High School was one of two hundred schools selected to participate in "Vans Custome Culture Art" based on their written application and statement of interest.
Twelve HHS students worked on the shoes outside of school hours to create the works of art.
On April 25, Vans will choose the top 50 designs. After that, the vote will open nationwide. Prizes include student scholarships, $50,000 for the school's art department, and a $100,000 school party hosted by vans.
The submitted designs were inspired by the competition themes of HomeTown Pride and The Legacy of Paul Van Doren.
You can find the shoes on display at Harvard High School and at Starline's 4th Friday Art Show on April 22.
Congratulations and good luck to the following students who created these shoes!
