Next year, Crosby Elementary will have a new principal. After three years of dedicated service,
Kathy Ferguson has resigned effective June 30, 2022. Kathy has dedicated herself to Crosby
and worked extremely hard to enrich the traditions of District 50’s newest school. We wish
Kathy the very best in her new adventures and note her contributions to Crosby and District 50.
The search for a new principal has already begun. The search process will be extensive and
thorough. District administrators are collecting input from the staff on building a profile for our
ideal candidate.
We are also asking parents to share their thoughts on what characteristics and skills our new
principal should have. Please use this Parent Input link to share your ideas. Additionally, if you
would like to be a part of the interview process, there is a question in the Parent Input link to let
us know of that interest. We’ll have two parents on the first interview.
Kathy is excited to finish the year strong and continue establishing an educational foundation
for your child that will lead to numerous academic and social successes as they advance
through District 50.
Thank you,
Dr. Corey Tafoya
Harvard CUSD 50 Superintendent
