Harvard Community Unit School District 50 is proud to announce the hiring of Dr. Chris Otto as the new Director of Student Services. Dr. Otto brings a wealth of experience and a strong track record of success in leadership roles in education.

With over a decade of experience in student services, Dr. Otto's background includes serving as the Director of Student Services at Libertyville 70 since 2015 and previously at Lake Zurich 95 for one year. Prior to his directorial roles, he worked as a school psychologist in Barrington 220 for eight years. Dr. Otto holds an Ed.S. and Ph.D. in School Services and Human Services and has a rich background in private practice and therapeutic day school therapy.

Superintendent Dr. Corey Tafoya stated, "Dr. Otto has an incredible track record of success as a Director of Student Services and brings his knowledge and experience to us. Our student services area will go from good to great with his caring leadership style. District 50 is lucky to have found such a talented leader to continue supporting our outstanding students."

Expressing his enthusiasm for his new role, Dr. Otto shared, "I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the students, families, staff, and community of Harvard Community Unit School District 50. The dedication and passion demonstrated by the district inspire me, and I am eager to collaborate and contribute to Harvard's commitment to fostering academic, social, and emotional growth in every student."
